In 2024, I joined two inspiring women and friends, May Khaled and Lina Shannak, as a writer and partner for the project على سفر—a platform where we tell stories that resonate with our community, in the language that first shaped our dreams, Arabic.
My world was filled with English content—podcasts, articles, and discussions on modern topics that matter to me: education, personal finance, human development, and beyond. Yet, whenever I came across similar narratives in Arabic, they felt different: Warmer, more intimate, like the familiar comfort of home after returning from a long journey.
In recent years, Arabic alternative media have been on the rise. على سفر is part of this movement, bringing stories to life in the language of over 12 million words—words that carry history, identity, and the power to connect. Happy I got back to writing regularly in classic Arabic, a passion I carried since I was 9 years old.
